This Vegan Shake is also gluten free, dairy free, soy free, egg free and nut free.
Hi guys!
If you guys having been following me on Instagram, you know that my husband and I are in the process of moving out of our apartment here in Maine. Trevor joined the army and is going to boot camp in Missouri and while he’s gone I’ll be with my parents in New York (no not NYC, they live in upstate NY). As I’m sure you know if you’ve ever moved anywhere, it’s a very busy and messy process. With little time and few pans available to cook with, protein shakes are the way to go!
For the vegan protein powder I used OWYN. They are a new company so if you have not tried their products yet, definitely do it! The whole idea behind all of their products is that they contain “only what you need”. No junk! I didn’t have any fruit on hand when I made this shake so I used a packet of their Tropical protein powder for some extra fruity flavor. It was so delicious!
I love adding gluten free oatmeal to my dairy free shakes because it really adds a nice texture. It also helps turn your healthy protein shake into a meal. Sometimes protein shakes leave me still hungry for food, but if I add oatmeal I’m sure to get full. I also like the flax in this shake. Partially for the health benefits and partially for the thickness it adds.
