Simple Steps to Make 2 Ingredient Gluten Free Vegan Biscuits

Let’s be honest, this is hardly a recipe. You just need to mix together 2 ingredients + optional seasonings, shape them, and bake them. As always, for detailed recipe instructions make sure you thoroughly read the recipe card, the below pictures are here for additional guidance.

The first step is to whisk the gluten free self-rising flour with any seasonings you choose to add. If you always use my Self-Rising Flour Blend Recipe then you have a batch on hand and can just add it right to your bowl. If you don’t have any on hand you’ll have to make a batch prior to this step.

step 1- mix flour with seasoning-min

The next step is to mix in your dairy free yogurt. I mention below which dairy free yogurt I use. If you are using a different brand you may need to add a little more or a little less to reach this consistency since not all yogurts are created equal.

step 2- mix dry with yogurt-min

The last step is to drop your dough onto your lined baking sheet and bake. You can either drop them and leave as is for a rustic look – like mine. You could also take your time to shape them into nice pretty balls or discs. Either way, the outcome is delicious!

Only 2 Ingredients + Your Choice of Seasonings

These biscuits are so easy to make because they only require two ingredients. You then have the choice to make them as is or mix in some seasoning. The seasoning is what really turns this blank canvas into your own creation. You can go slightly sweet for a tasty breakfast or keep them savory and enjoy them as a dinner roll.

2 Necessary Ingredients

Eat or Drink’s Self-Rising Flour Blend Recipe – It’s very important you use my self-rising flour recipe to create these 2 ingredient biscuits (or rolls). I always keep a big batch of this flour on hand so that I can make recipes like this in no time at all. If you don’t have any on hand at the moment you will have to make a batch prior to making this recipe.

Unsweetened Plain Vegan Yogurt – I have only made this recipe with Nancy’s vegan oat milk yogurt. I love the texture (and the price tag). I imagine this recipe will be just fine with any unsweetened plain vegan yogurt though.

  • Mix in your yogurt until combined and a dough forms.
  • Spoon your dough onto your baking sheet using two spoons or a large cookie scoop. You can shape them into round discs like buttermilk biscuits or rolls. You can also leave them as is (which is what I did) for a rustic drop biscuit look.
